Before design professionals, building owners, or construction managers undertake a remodeling or renovation project, they must first obtain a set of existing conditions drawings. In order to get accurate, up-to-date drawings, also referred to as "as-builts," they typically send a junior colleague to the site with a measuring tape, pad and pencil where they gather the measurements by hand.
